About The Position

As a Security Officer Entry Screening in Berea, Kentucky, you will serve and safeguard clients at a manufacturing and industrial location. You will manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor visitor activity, and support a secure environment for employees and operations. The role involves maintaining a visible presence, communicating professionally, using computer or tablet systems, and helping deter security-related incidents. The position is full-time and pays $14.75 per hour. Scheduled shifts are Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by following site-specific security procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities.
Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and control the movement of personnel and vehicles according to site policies.
Respond calmly to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production-area perimeters, parking areas, and other designated locations; identify and report unusual conditions.
Accurately document daily activities, access-control events, incidents, and observations in required reports and logs.
