About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Entry Screening to serve and safeguard clients at a financial institution in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The role manages entry points, verifies access credentials, monitors activity, and maintains a visible security presence while providing customer service and clear communication. Officers follow security procedures and site-specific policies, support emergency response activities, and help create a welcoming environment. The position offers access to a shift-claiming platform for additional shifts and career growth opportunities.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements applicable under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Control site access by verifying identification, monitoring visitor and employee entry, issuing credentials as authorized, and maintaining accurate access records.
Monitor access points, alarm systems, cameras, and other security equipment; report unusual activity, access concerns, and equipment issues according to site procedures.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, restricted areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized access and identify security concerns.
