About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for an assigned manufacturing and industrial site in North Billerica, Massachusetts. The position provides a designated weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through a scheduling platform. Additional shifts may allow the employee to work up to 40 hours per week, with flexibility to scale back. The stated pay rate is $20.50 per hour. The listed shift is Sunday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The officer provides customer service while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities. Duties include responding to incidents and alarms, patrolling facility areas, monitoring access, verifying credentials, and maintaining accurate logs and reports. Applicants are subject to background investigation and drug screening, as permitted by applicable law. Licensing may be required under state or local regulations.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Undergo drug screening as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license only if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations while following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, offices, loading docks, parking areas, and the facility perimeter.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor and contractor credentials.
• Maintain accurate logs and reports of security-related incidents and daily activities.
• Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, contractors, and emergency personnel.
