About The Position

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a logistics and distribution location in Atlanta, Georgia, you will help safeguard the client by maintaining a visible security presence, monitoring and patrolling the site, observing activity, reporting concerns, and providing professional customer service and clear communication. The role is full-time and pays $16.39 per hour. The scheduled shifts are Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The officer supports site security procedures, access control, and emergency response activities. Duties include patrolling loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter; monitoring vehicle and pedestrian traffic; documenting visitor activity; responding to alarms and incidents; and coordinating professionally with site representatives.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
State or local licensing may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random patrols of loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
Monitor access by verifying credentials, observing vehicle and pedestrian traffic, and documenting arrivals, departures, and visitor activity according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and complete accurate incident reports.
Support the orderly movement of packages, vehicles, and personnel by communicating professionally with site representatives and following traffic and access-control procedures.
