About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer in Lockport, Illinois, to serve and safeguard clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support a welcoming environment, provide customer service, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity. Work environments and conditions may vary by location. The schedule is Thursday through Sunday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The pay rate is $18.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require being at least 21 years old.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements; a license may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies while providing customer service to clients.
Perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, office areas, technology spaces, and perimeter.
Maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents and support a welcoming environment.
Communicate professionally with employees and visitors and respond to security-related concerns with integrity.
