About The Position

As a Security Officer in a logistics and distribution location in Joliet, Illinois, you will serve and safeguard clients by monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, observe site activity, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and provide customer service. The position includes responding to incidents and emergency situations in accordance with site procedures. This is a full-time position paying $20.16 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday and Tuesday, 4:00 p.m.–11:59 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
Respond calmly to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations while following established site protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter; identify unusual activity and report observations.
Monitor access points, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, drivers, and site contacts.
