About The Position

As a Security Officer at a logistics and distribution location in Mira Loma, California, you will safeguard the client by managing facility access, monitoring activity, and maintaining a visible security presence to help deter incidents. The role includes customer service, clear communication, use of computer or tablet systems as needed, and driving as part of the post. This is a part-time position scheduled Fridays and Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, paying $19.00 per hour.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Applicants for unarmed roles must be at least 18 years old; applicants for armed roles must be at least 21 years old.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by following site-specific security procedures, access-control policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Monitor and control facility access by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entries, issuing access badges, and directing authorized personnel.
Respond calmly to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations, escalating issues according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, loading areas, business operations, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Maintain accurate logs and reports concerning visitor activity, access events, incidents, and shift communications.
