About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer for day patrol in Newport, Kentucky. The officer will monitor and patrol a client location, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. The role supports access control, requires professional communication with guests and team members, and includes documenting activities using computer or tablet tools. Work is scheduled Thursday and Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The pay rate is $16.50 per hour, paid weekly.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements applicable under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Access control and badge experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
• Support access control and communicate professionally with guests and team members.
• Document activities using computer or tablet tools.
