About The Position

As a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a financial institution in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, you will help safeguard clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents, reporting security-related concerns, and providing customer service. The role is scheduled for daytime shifts on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The pay rate is $17.51 per hour.

You will work as part of Allied Universal’s security team, following site-specific policies and established protocols while responding to incidents, alarms, and critical situations. The position also involves documenting daily activities and incidents and reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a financial institution while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random foot or vehicle patrols of the facility, exterior, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and vendor activity.
• Report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift logs in accordance with company and site requirements.
