About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Badge Control in Nashville, Tennessee, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries including education. At a university location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide customer service and clear communication to students, staff, and visitors while representing Allied Universal’s people-first culture with integrity and teamwork.

This is a full-time position paying $17.50 per hour. The listed schedule is Thursday through Sunday, 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state and/or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, academic spaces, residence areas, parking facilities, walkways, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas; report suspicious behavior, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to designated personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports documenting incidents, patrol observations, and other security-related activities.
