About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer to support a commercial real estate location in Durham, North Carolina. The officer monitors and patrols assigned areas, maintains a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, manages property access, and assists visitors professionally. The role requires customer service, clear communication, teamwork, integrity, and reliability. The scheduled hours are 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM on Saturdays and Sundays. The position pays $21.00 per hour. Applicants must be at least 18 years old for an unarmed role and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing may be required under state or local regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property personnel by following security procedures and site-specific policies and, when appropriate, responding to emergencies.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas; identify and report unusual conditions or potential concerns.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, tenant concerns, alarms, and critical situations according to site procedures.
Monitor property access and visitor and vendor activity; report unauthorized entry, suspicious activity, and maintenance-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs, incident documentation, and communication records in accordance with company and site requirements.
