About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Driver Customer Assistance in La Porte, Texas, serving a chemical/petrochemical location. The position involves driving and conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents, and supporting a secure environment through professional communication and customer service. The officer represents Allied Universal with integrity, reliability, and teamwork while responding to security-related concerns and using tools to support site operations. The schedule is daytime: Monday and Thursday through Sunday, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The pay rate is $18.00 per hour.

Requirements

A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
A TSA-issued TWIC is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly and use problem-solving skills when addressing incidents, alarms, hazardous-material concerns, and critical situations; follow site procedures and notify appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, perimeter, access points, parking areas, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access to assigned areas and verify credentials as directed.
Report unauthorized entry attempts, damaged barriers, and unusual conditions.
Complete detailed activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
