About The Position

As a part-time, unarmed patrol Security Officer at a commercial real estate location in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, you will help safeguard tenants, visitors, staff, and property. You will conduct routine and random patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access activity, and respond professionally to security concerns. The role emphasizes customer service, communication, and supporting a welcoming environment. The position is scheduled Saturdays and Sundays from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM and pays $17.25 per hour. Employees can use Allied Universal’s Claim a Shift platform to view and claim additional shifts. Applicants are subject to background investigation and drug screening as permitted by law. Applicable licensing may be required under state or local regulations.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements applicable under state and/or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly and helpfully to incidents, tenant concerns, access-related issues, and critical situations; document observations and actions according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor access points and observe visitor, vendor, and delivery activity in accordance with established site policies.
Communicate professionally with property management, tenants, visitors, and emergency responders, and provide timely reports of security incidents and unusual conditions.
