About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for a commercial real estate location in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The role provides a designated weekly shift at an assigned site, with a six-month commitment to that fixed shift. Officers may also claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, offering flexibility to supplement income and potentially build up to 40 hours per week. The position is unarmed and focused on patrol observation, customer service, access control, and incident response.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require a minimum age of 21.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation, subject to applicable laws.
• Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license only if assigned to a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and property management personnel by following site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter locations; identify and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document actions according to site procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, vendor, and delivery activity in accordance with property policies, directing individuals as needed.
• Prepare accurate reports of patrols, incidents, and security-related observations, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
