About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for an assigned site in Dakota City, Nebraska. The position provides a reliable base schedule with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. The assigned Saturday and Sunday shifts are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and the role requires a six-month commitment to the designated site and weekly shift. Additional shifts may allow the employee to work up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The pay rate is $20.31 per hour.

The officer provides customer service and performs site-specific security duties at a food and beverage production location. Responsibilities include access control, maintaining records and credentials, responding to incidents, and conducting patrols.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license if assigned to a driving position.

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while following site-specific security procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access points by verifying identification, visitor authorization, delivery appointments, and vehicle entry requirements.
• Maintain visitor, contractor, and delivery records; issue and collect access credentials; and communicate access-related concerns to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, the facility perimeter, and other assigned locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
