Security Officer Part Time Visitor Check In Driver
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for a utilities location in Monroe, New York. In this front-desk role, you will welcome visitors, manage access control and badge processes, monitor entry activity, and provide customer service. You will use technology to support security operations, communicate professionally with employees and guests, and help maintain an orderly environment. The position includes driving and requires a valid driver’s license. The schedule is Wednesday and Friday, 4:30 PM–2:00 AM. The pay rate is $17.00–$18.00 per hour. Applicants are subject to background investigation and drug screening as permitted by law. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local law.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license, required for driving positions and in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements may apply prior to employment under state and/or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and utility customers while following site-specific procedures and access-control requirements at the front desk.
- Monitor visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate visitor and contractor logs.
- Answer and direct incoming calls, provide general site information, and communicate professionally with employees and authorized personnel.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, follow established emergency response procedures, and notify appropriate personnel.
- Monitor front-desk security-related systems and report unusual activity, facility concerns, and policy violations to appropriate contacts.
