About The Position
As a part-time Access Control Security Officer at a food and beverage production location in Seguin, Texas, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, documenting activity, and providing customer service. Your visible presence and clear communication will help deter security-related incidents while supporting site operations. The role is scheduled for Friday from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM, Saturday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, and Sunday from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. The pay rate is $18.28 per hour.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 or older for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements vary by state and/or local law and may be required before employment.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Control access to the food and beverage production location by verifying credentials, issuing visitor and contractor passes, maintaining entry records, and monitoring access points.
- Screen and direct incoming deliveries, vendors, and contractors according to site requirements and access-control procedures.
- Respond calmly to access-related incidents and critical situations, notifying appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, surrounding areas, and the facility perimeter; deter unauthorized entry and report unusual conditions.
