Security Officer Part Time Access Control

About The Position

As a part-time Access Control Security Officer at a technology-focused location in Boise, Idaho, you will help safeguard the site while providing customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel. You will monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, manage visitor badges, and maintain accurate access records. The role also includes responding to incidents and alarms, conducting patrols, reporting unusual conditions, and communicating access concerns to site personnel and Allied Universal leadership. The position pays $21.50 per hour and is scheduled Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements before employment, if required.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while following site-specific access control procedures and policies.
Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue and retrieve visitor badges, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
Respond calmly to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established escalation and emergency response procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, restricted areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized access and report unusual conditions.
Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership about access concerns, policy violations, and incidents requiring follow-up.
