About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for an assigned site in Monaca, Pennsylvania. The role provides a consistent weekly anchor shift, with a six-month commitment, and the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. Additional shifts may allow the schedule to increase to as many as 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The listed pay rate is $17.10 per hour, and a valid driver’s license is required for this site.

The Security Officer provides customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors; follows site security and access-control procedures; responds to incidents and alarms; conducts unarmed patrols; monitors site entry and exit; and completes required reports and shift communications.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, if required before employment.
• Possess a valid driver’s license; one is required for this site.
• Commit to the designated site and weekly anchor shift for six months.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following site protocols and contacting appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, controlled-access areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations, and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials as directed, maintain visitor and contractor records, and communicate access concerns to appropriate contacts.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with company and site requirements.
