About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Access Control Security Officer for a logistics and distribution location in Englewood, Colorado. The officer will help safeguard the site by managing entry and exit points, verifying credentials, monitoring activity, and reporting security-related concerns. The role requires a professional, visible presence, strong customer service, and clear communication. The posted schedule is Friday and Saturday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM. Pay is $21.72 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver's license only if the position involves driving.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
Control facility access by verifying credentials, checking identification, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing authorized personnel.
Monitor vehicle and pedestrian entry and exit points and coordinate gate activity.
Document deliveries, pickups, and other access-related information according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, notify appropriate personnel, and complete required reports.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
