About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for access control at a food and beverage distribution location in Gainesville, Florida. The role provides reliable hours at an assigned site and a designated weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment. Employees may claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week and later scale back. The position pays $15.83 per hour. The scheduled shift is Saturday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 years old for armed roles.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver's license if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor and control access at designated entry points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and direct authorized individuals according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly to access-control concerns, incidents, and critical situations, notifying appropriate personnel as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, docks, parking areas, business operations, and the perimeter.
• Document daily activities, access-control events, unusual occurrences, and incident details according to company and site-specific reporting procedures.
