About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for turnstile monitoring at a food and beverage production location in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. The officer will help maintain a welcoming, controlled environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing visitor access, responding to security concerns, and supporting routine patrols. The role emphasizes customer service and professional communication with employees and guests. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The pay rate is $18.95 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors while following site-specific access-control procedures and policies and, when appropriate, carrying out emergency response activities.
Monitor facility entry and exit points; verify credentials, visitor authorizations, and delivery access according to site requirements.
Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle access records, and issue and recover temporary credentials as directed.
Respond calmly and professionally to access-control incidents and critical situations, escalating security concerns through established communication channels.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, facility areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unauthorized access or unusual conditions.
