About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for a driving role at a manufacturing and industrial location in Columbus, Indiana. The officer will help safeguard clients by conducting unarmed patrols, maintaining a visible presence, responding to security concerns, and providing customer service. The position requires a valid driver’s license. The scheduled hours are Saturday and Sunday, 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM. The pay rate is $16.50 per hour.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required for this driving role.
Applicants for unarmed roles must be at least 18 years old.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
State or local licensing requirements may apply and may be required before employment.

Customer service experience.
CPR certification.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations.
Monitor for unusual activity, potential hazards, and policy concerns, and report observations through established site procedures.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents and critical situations, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and emergency services when needed.
Assist with access control, visitor processing, and compliance with site entry requirements to help deter unauthorized access.
