About The Position

This position is responsible for creating a safe and secure environment for employees, patients, visitors, and property of the Inspira Health Network. Security officers provide proactive and reactive security patrols and respond to incidents. They provide excellent customer service and competently work with people who are under stress and/or in need of medical assistance. The position works with the Environment of Care committee to support a multidisciplinary approach to safety, security, workplace violence, and emergency management.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Six months of security experience.
Valid driver's license.
Obtain Basic Security Officer Certification (IAHSS) within one year of hire.
Complete Inspira Health-approved de-escalation and common language training within 100 days of hire.
Obtain American Heart Association BLS within 100 days of hire.
Ability to effectively interact with hospital employees, visitors, patients, contractors, and volunteers.
Ability to effectively manage the responsibilities and duties of the position and department.

Nice To Haves

Three years of experience in law enforcement, private security, or investigations.
