About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer providing lobby reception at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in San Francisco, California, you will serve as a welcoming, visible presence for visitors and employees. You will manage access procedures, monitor entry activity, respond to security-related concerns, and provide customer service and clear communication. The position is part of Allied Universal’s team, whose stated values include care, teamwork, and integrity. The schedule listed is Monday and Sunday, 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM. Pay is $26.95 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at the front desk, following site-specific security procedures and policies.
Monitor access, verify visitor credentials, maintain visitor logs, issue temporary access materials, and direct guests to appropriate contacts or areas.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations, following established emergency response procedures.
Observe front-desk activity and report unusual conditions, access concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Maintain clear, accurate records of visitor activity, incidents, and other required security-related documentation.
