About The Position

As a Security Officer Lobby Reception in Bloomington, Illinois, you will serve and safeguard clients at a food and beverage location. You will welcome visitors, manage access, monitor entry activity, and provide customer service as a visible, approachable presence. The role includes addressing security-related concerns through clear communication and professionalism. This is a part-time position scheduled Tuesday through Thursday, 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a pay rate of $20.65 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Operate the front desk by greeting visitors, verifying identification and authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining accurate access records.
Monitor entry points, visitor activity, and security-related systems from a stationary post; report unusual activity or access concerns according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, notify appropriate personnel, and document events as required.
Direct visitors, contractors, and deliveries to designated areas and follow site-specific food and beverage facility access requirements.
