About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer - Dispatch - Secure Technology in Sparks, Nevada, serving a utilities location. The role coordinates dispatch communications, monitors activity, documents incidents, and supports timely responses to security-related needs. It includes driving and requires strong customer service and clear communication while helping maintain an organized environment. The listed pay rate is $27.00 per hour. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 years old or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to utility operations personnel, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific security procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor dispatch communications, alarm activity, and incoming service requests; document, prioritize, and route information to appropriate personnel.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, coordinating communications with site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
Maintain detailed dispatch logs, incident reports, activity records, and shift handoff information according to site-specific requirements.
Conduct regular and random patrols of operational areas, access points, and the perimeter as assigned.
