About The Position

As a full-time Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location in Long Beach, California, you will help safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and the facility. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment. The role requires customer service, clear communication, and timely responses to security-related concerns.

The position is scheduled for daytime shifts on Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. The pay rate is $23.00 per hour. Applicants must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is conditional on background screening and a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements depend on applicable state and local laws.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and others while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, and other critical situations, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns.
• Monitor access points and report unusual conditions, hazards, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
