About The Position

As a part-time Unarmed Security Officer at an aerospace and defense-related location in Titusville, Florida, you will serve and safeguard clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide customer service and clear communication while supporting a professional environment. The position is scheduled Wednesday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM and Friday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, at a pay rate of $18.91 per hour.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors by following security procedures and site-specific policies and, when appropriate, taking part in emergency response activities.
Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor authorization, and delivery documentation according to site requirements.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter access points to help deter unauthorized activity.
Accurately document observations, incidents, and daily activities, and report security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
