About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring an experienced unarmed patrol Security Officer for a healthcare location in Oceanside, California. The officer will safeguard clients and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and patients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, providing customer service, and responding professionally to security-related needs. The role is full-time and pays $24.56 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• At least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, patients, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare and research environment.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, laboratories, offices, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify unusual activity, access issues, and potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with credential verification, provide directions, and explain entry requirements in accordance with site procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with company and site policies.
