Security Officer - Full Time Unarmed Patrol
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer for patrol and access monitoring at a premier hotel and resort location in McLean, Virginia. The officer will safeguard guests, visitors, staff, and clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, supporting access control, and providing customer service. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and pays $25.00 per hour. The officer will communicate clearly and professionally, respond to concerns and incidents, and document patrols and security matters according to Allied Universal and site-specific procedures. Applicants are subject to background investigation and drug screening as permitted by law. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local regulations.
Requirements
- CPO certification is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and hotel personnel while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond calmly and professionally to guest concerns, incidents, and critical situations, escalating matters according to established procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hotel public areas, guest corridors, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the perimeter.
- Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property.
- Report security concerns, maintenance issues, and policy violations to appropriate hotel personnel.
- Complete accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation.
