About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Identity Authentication in Conyers, Georgia, assigned to a retail location. The role provides a fixed weekly shift at an assigned site, requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. Employees may work additional hours and build toward a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The pay rate is $17.00 per hour.

The position provides customer service while carrying out access-control procedures and security policies. Duties include monitoring access points, verifying credentials and visitor authorization, maintaining visitor logs, responding to incidents and alarms, conducting patrols, documenting activity, and communicating relevant information during shift handoffs.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, associates, visitors, and delivery personnel while following site-specific access-control procedures and security policies at a retail location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor logs, and direct individuals to appropriate areas according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, receiving areas, employee entrances, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized entry.
• Document incidents, observations, and access-control activity in required reports and communicate relevant information during shift handoffs.
