Security Officer Supermarket Aisle Patrols
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed patrol officer for a retail location in New York, NY. The officer will help safeguard the site by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, monitoring access points, and providing customer service to customers, team members, and visitors. The role involves communicating professionally and supporting a welcoming environment while following site-specific security procedures and policies. The schedule is Wednesday through Saturday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The pay rate is $18.48–$19.48 per hour. Applicants must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local law.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.

- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- A state-, county-, or city-issued license for security-related work is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of sales floors, entrances, loading areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
- Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following site procedures and communicating with appropriate personnel.
- Monitor access points and observe activity to help deter unauthorized entry, theft-related activity, and policy violations.
- Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly in accordance with company and site requirements.
