Security Officer - Vehicle Patrols
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer for vehicle patrol operations at a manufacturing and industrial distribution location in Melrose Park, Illinois. The officer will provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel while following site-specific security procedures and policies. The role includes vehicle and foot patrols, monitoring access procedures, responding to incidents and alarms, and documenting security-related activities. The scheduled shifts are Monday through Thursday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, and Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The pay rate is $20.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Possess a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; a valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state or local laws and regulations, which may be required before employment.

- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security procedures and policies.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
- Monitor access points and support visitor, contractor, and vehicle entry procedures in accordance with site requirements.
- Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, follow established emergency response protocols, and notify appropriate personnel.
- Prepare clear and accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.
