About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced First Aid Patrol for an automotive facility in Vance, Alabama. The role provides a fixed, designated weekly shift with a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. Additional shifts may allow employees to work up to 40 hours per week, with the flexibility to scale back. The position pays $17.50 per hour and is scheduled Saturdays from 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The Security Officer provides customer service and carries out security procedures, site policies, and appropriate emergency response activities. Duties include unarmed patrols, monitoring access, responding to incidents, and maintaining accurate reports and communication. Applicants must be at least 18 for unarmed roles and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is conditional on applicable background investigation and drug screening. Licensing may be required under state or local rules.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, consistent with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at an automotive facility while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of vehicle areas, parking lots, building interiors, access points, and the facility perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access to designated areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and report suspicious activity or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, notify appropriate personnel, and document actions taken.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs, and communicate professionally with site representatives and Allied Universal leadership.
