About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol First Aid in North Hills, California. The role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned financial institution site, with the option to claim additional shifts at other sites through the company’s scheduling platform. The assigned weekly shift serves as an anchor schedule and requires a six-month commitment. Employees may increase or scale back hours, with opportunities to build toward a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week.

The role pays $21.01 per hour. The scheduled shifts are Thursday and Friday, 8:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Security Officer provides customer service while carrying out site-specific security procedures, conducts unarmed patrols, monitors access points, responds to incidents, and maintains activity logs.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or personnel while following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, and report observations through established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the financial institution, including entrances, customer areas, offices, parking areas, and the perimeter.
• Monitor access points, help deter unauthorized entry by verifying credentials and directing visitors, and report suspicious activity.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and communicate relevant security information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
