About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Security Officer to support a technology infrastructure location in Ashburn, Virginia. The officer will provide customer service, monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible security presence, and follow site-specific procedures and emergency response activities. The role is scheduled Tuesday and Friday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM and pays $23.36 per hour.

Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements vary by state or local law and may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR/First Aid certification.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.
A guard card or license.
Customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and personnel by carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, access points, parking areas, and other assigned areas; identify and report unusual conditions or security concerns.
Monitor access control points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate logs and reports.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; escalate concerns to appropriate personnel or emergency responders.
Communicate with site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and responding agencies, and document observations, incidents, and actions taken.
