About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol officer to serve and safeguard clients at a government location in New York, NY. The officer will provide customer service and maintain a visible security presence while monitoring and patrolling assigned areas. The role includes responding to security concerns, reporting observations, and helping create a welcoming environment. The position pays $18.87 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, Wednesday 12:00 AM–8:30 AM, and Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 7:00 AM–3:00 PM.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply before employment, depending on state and local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
A state-, county-, or city-issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public while following site-specific security procedures and policies.
Respond to incidents, public disturbances, and critical situations professionally, following escalation and emergency response protocols.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior areas, exterior grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations.
Prepare accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity documentation in accordance with company and site requirements.
