About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced to provide security services at an assigned technology, media, and telecommunications site in Salt Lake City, Utah. The position offers a designated weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. Hours may vary based on additional shifts, and employees may build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week or scale back. The listed pay rate is $20.50 per hour. The schedule provided is Friday, 7:15 AM–2:00 PM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.
• Commit to the designated assigned-site weekly anchor shift for six months.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response practices.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, parking areas, access points, and the business perimeter.
• Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and facility conditions; report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating to appropriate personnel and emergency responders when needed.
• Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
