About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for patrol services at a logistics and distribution location in Hagerstown, Maryland. The position offers a designated site and weekly anchor shift that requires a six-month commitment. Officers may claim additional shifts through a scheduling platform, with the opportunity to build up to a full-time schedule of as many as 40 hours per week and scale back when needed. The stated pay rate is $19.00 per hour.

The officer provides customer service while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate. Duties include responding to incidents and access-control concerns, conducting unarmed patrols, monitoring access, documenting observations, and preparing reports. The scheduled shift is Monday from 3:00 PM to 11:59 PM.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• State or local licensing may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly and use problem-solving skills when addressing incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, and the facility perimeter.
• Monitor personnel, visitor, and vehicle access according to site-specific procedures; document observations and report unusual activity.
• Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership.
