About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer for patrol services at a logistics and distribution location in Newark, Delaware. The role provides a designated weekly shift at an assigned site, with a six-month commitment to that fixed shift. Officers may also claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform, allowing them to increase their hours and potentially build toward a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week.

The position pays $17.00 per hour. The listed schedule is Saturday from 1:00 AM to 9:00 AM. The role involves providing customer service, carrying out site-specific security procedures, conducting patrols, monitoring access, responding to incidents, and documenting activity.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, consistent with applicable laws.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, delivery personnel, and visitors by following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations while following reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, parking lots, building entrances, trailer yards, and the business perimeter to identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access points and help manage the flow of authorized personnel, vehicles, and deliveries according to site requirements.
• Complete activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation clearly and accurately.
