About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer for Enhanced Part Time Patrol Services in Rochester, New York. The role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned aerospace and defense site, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. The designated site and weekly anchor shift require a six-month commitment. Employees may build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week and can scale back when needed. The pay rate is $17.75 per hour. The listed schedule is Sunday, 4:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

The officer provides customer service and performs security-related procedures, site-specific duties, patrols, access monitoring, incident response, and reporting. Employment is conditional on a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local regulations; a valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require age 21 or older.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense location while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following notification and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access control points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and report unusual conditions or policy violations.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required records related to patrols, incidents, observations, and security activities.
