About The Position

As an Unarmed Patrol Services Security Officer in Peru, Indiana, you will help safeguard a food and beverage facility by monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, helping deter incidents, and supporting access control. You will provide customer service and clear communication to employees and visitors while contributing to a welcoming environment. The position is full-time, pays $16.81 per hour, and follows a schedule of Thursday and Friday, 4:00 PM–12:00 AM, and Saturday and Sunday, 12:00 PM–12:00 AM. Duties include site-specific security procedures and emergency response, patrols of production areas and other facility locations, access authorization checks, incident response, and documentation.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet state and/or local licensing requirements if required prior to employment.
Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to identify unusual activity or conditions.
Monitor access points and verify visitor, contractor, and delivery personnel authorization in accordance with site procedures.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally; notify appropriate personnel and document activities.
Complete detailed reports, maintain accurate daily activity logs, and communicate security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
