About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Access Badge Support in Piscataway, New Jersey, you will serve and safeguard clients at a commercial real estate location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and provide customer service and communication. The position is full-time and pays $20.93 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation, consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with access control and badge systems.
• Experience with alarm panels.
• CPR certification.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs.
• Customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and vendors by following site-specific security procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and delivery personnel; verify authorization and direct individuals according to site procedures.
• Document daily activities, patrols, incidents, and observed conditions in clear, accurate reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
