About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer for a technology-focused location in Manassas, Virginia. The officer will help safeguard the site by monitoring access points, verifying badges and credentials, conducting routine patrols, documenting activity using a computer or tablet, and maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. The role also involves providing customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors and responding professionally to incidents, alarms, and emergency situations.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
- A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas; identify and report security concerns, unusual activity, and maintenance issues.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials according to site procedures, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; contact appropriate personnel and emergency services when required.
- Communicate clearly with site personnel and follow Allied Universal and client policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.
