About The Position

The Security Officer will serve and safeguard clients at a logistics and distribution location in Chantilly, Virginia. This is an unarmed patrol role focused on monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and supporting access control. The officer will communicate professionally with employees, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel while providing customer service. The role is full-time and scheduled Tuesday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The pay rate is $15.12 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, drivers, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, vehicle lots, entry points, trailers, and the facility perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and verify credentials for authorized personnel, visitors, and vendors according to site-specific requirements.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
Complete required activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.
