About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Security Officer for area patrol at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Whitsett, North Carolina. The officer will help safeguard the client by patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, monitoring access points, and providing professional customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors. The role includes responding to incidents and access-control concerns, documenting observations, and communicating with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts. The scheduled shifts are Thursday and Sunday, 12:00 AM–8:00 AM. The pay rate is $16.89 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations, following established site protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of business areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site policy, and help maintain orderly entry and exit procedures.
• Accurately and promptly document patrol observations, incidents, and relevant activities, and communicate information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts as appropriate.
