About The Position

As a part-time Unarmed X-Ray Parcel Patrol Security Officer in North East, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, supporting access control, and providing courteous customer service. You will communicate with employees and visitors, report observations, and help contribute to a welcoming environment. Work is scheduled for Saturday from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM and Sunday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The pay rate is $20.00 per hour. Employment is subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements may apply under state and local laws.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for an unarmed role.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
X-ray screening experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Loss prevention experience is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies while providing customer service to clients.
Take part in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business location and perimeter.
Maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents.
Support access control.
Communicate with employees and visitors and report observations.
