Security Officer Hospital Campus Security
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer for hospital campus security in Atlanta, Georgia. The officer will serve and safeguard clients in a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications setting, providing customer service and clear communication while helping maintain a welcoming environment. The role includes monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents, and responding to security-related concerns. The position pays $21.00 per hour. The scheduled shifts are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday, from 1:45 PM to 10:00 PM. Applicants must meet hospital vaccination requirements and applicable employment screening and licensing conditions.
Requirements
- Possess at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
- Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
- A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, employees, and contractors while following site-specific procedures and security policies.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including business spaces, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter locations.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry according to site procedures, and report unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
- Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain activity logs documenting patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns.
