About The Position

The Campus Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment by monitoring the premises and patrolling assigned locations, including parking lots. The role includes observing and reporting activities and incidents, issuing parking tickets, preserving order, and enforcing site regulations and directives. Officers may also provide customer service and information to employees, visitors, and customers. No experience is necessary; training is provided. Prior security or customer service experience is a plus, and experience in retail, food service, or hospitality may be a good fit.

Requirements

Strong customer service skills.
Ability to complete patrols.
Strong technology skills, including use of a cell phone and computer.
Pass a drug screen and background check.
Meet and continue to meet applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers/Guards.
Frequent sitting, standing, and walking, potentially for long periods; may include climbing stairs and walking on inclines or uneven terrain.
Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Prior security or customer service experience is a plus.
Retail, food service, or hospitality industry background.

Responsibilities

Conduct foot patrols of parking lots and complete patrols of assigned areas.
Issue parking tickets.
Observe and report activities and incidents at the assigned client site.
Help protect client property and personnel by monitoring the premises and preserving order.
Enforce regulations and directives pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the site.
Provide customer service and information to client employees and customers.
